During our visit, we discovered a fantastic little sandwich shop—Sabatina’s—which will soon feature a fully restored pub room. Stop in and meet Lisa and her friendly staff, who serve up fresh, made-to-order sandwiches with genuine hospitality. We highly recommend the Italian chicken cutlet sandwich, breaded and fried to perfection, served with or without spicy mayonnaise. Their cheesesteaks are also a standout—tender, flavorful meat with fresh toppings, easily among the best we’ve had in our travels. And don’t miss their turkey sandwiches, made from freshly roasted, pulled turkey breast. The most famous of them all is The Gobbler, piled high with cranberry sauce, stuffing, and gravy—a true comfort food classic. Whether you're on a day trip in Delaware or arriving by ferry from Salem County, New Jersey, make sure to spend some time in Delaware City and treat yourself to a delicious meal at Sabatina’s.
