On the border of Vermont and New Hampshire lies West Lebanon, where we discovered what we believe to be the best Italian restaurant and pizzeria in the state—Lui Lui’s. Their brick oven-baked rolls are outstanding, but try not to fill up too quickly, because the pizza is equally incredible. We ordered “The Works,” and it easily ranks among the top 10 pizzas we've ever reviewed, and one of the top pizzerias in New England. Visiting with kids? We recommend sharing a pizza and a Caesar salad—which was absolutely perfect—and finishing with a mousse or cannoli for dessert. Everything we tried was excellent, and we’re already looking forward to returning to sample their Italian entrées, which we saw being served at nearby tables. They looked and smelled terrific, and are made from homemade family recipes. To top it off, why not enjoy a game of Bocce on their backyard court while waiting for your meal or relaxing with a drink among friends? What a wonderful find.
