Crayola Experience

Did you know the word Crayola comes from the French words for chalk ("craie") and oil ("oléagineux")? That’s just one of the many fascinating facts you’ll discover at The Crayola Experience in Easton, Pennsylvania—a vibrant, hands-on tribute to the art and science of crayon making. But it’s not just about learning—it’s about fun, and there’s four floors of it! The first floor features the gift shop, café, and a playful Silly Putty station that’s a hit with younger kids. On the second floor, things get really exciting: you’ll watch real machines produce a batch of crayons, see how they’re wrapped and packaged, and even create your own custom crayon label to take home and use in your next masterpiece. This level also offers both traditional coloring stations and digital design experiences. You can use tablet technology to create your own character, then project it onto a giant wall where it comes to life—or email it to a friend as a colorful keepsake. The third floor continues the creative fun with more hands-on activities, while the fourth floor invites you to use melted crayons to make spin art and other vibrant projects. One of the most popular exhibits is Color Magic—where you color a character on paper, scan it into a computer, and watch it transform into a wild 3D version of your design. Come meet the friendly staff in Easton and experience one of the Lehigh Valley’s top family attractions. The Crayola Experience is a place where creativity, color, and imagination come to life!
