In the southern part of Connecticut, you'll find a fantastic hands-on museum for elementary school-aged kids: the Discovery Museum. As an adult, I found it surprisingly enjoyable too—especially the energy and space exhibits. One of the standout features in the space section is the Mission Control Center and the To the Moon exhibit, which offer a unique and interactive experience. With three levels of engaging activities, including a planetarium with excellent shows, it’s well worth a visit. For visitors of all ages, the Discovery Treetop Adventure is another highlight. Although it’s not included in regular admission, it’s absolutely worth the extra cost for the fun and challenge it provides.
