Three tours, three locations and a library with a visitor center are what make up Adams National Park. Begin your adventure at the visitor center by parking in the garage and receive free validation from a ranger inside. Then reserve your seat on the trolley tour that leaves every half hour and lasts approximately two and a half hours. You can watch the park movie in the theater while you wait. On tour you will learn of five generations of Adams, including the second president who is a second generation Adams and his son who was the sixth president and a third generation Adams. The first two houses you visit are on the same property, one of which is where John Adams grew up and other was his second home. The third third location takes you to his retirement home that he envisioned would be passed down for all future generations, but that was not to be and after five generations it was acquired by the National Park Service. Now visitors can hear about the quite interesting story of the Adams' family and learn a lot about their patriotism and the many men and women who have served through the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. We highly recommend a visit to the Adams National Park when in the Boston area.
