Yes, you can absolutely enjoy lunch or drinks at Castle in the Clouds without touring the mansion—though if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s definitely worth a visit. Simply enter through the back driveway (GPS will guide you), and settle in for a fantastic meal on the patio overlooking the stunning mountain and lake views, or dine in a converted stable stall for a rustic yet refined experience. The menu features delicious appetizers like the hot bruschetta, reminiscent of a margherita pizza, the steak and spinach artichoke dip served with warm homemade flatbread (absolutely divine), and the bacon-wrapped chicken, which is also available as a sandwich. Every Thursday night is jazz night, complete with a fabulous dinner menu. There’s a cover charge, but it’s well worth it to relax, dine, and enjoy live music as the sun sets over the castle and lake. For added adventure, they also offer trail rides from the stable for an additional fee. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Castle in the Clouds—a perfect blend of scenery, flavor, and charm.
