National Museum of the Marine Corps

Located in Triangle, Virginia, near Marine Corps Base Quantico, the National Museum of the Marine Corps is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in American history and the enduring legacy of the U.S. Marines. One personal favorite is the Matthew Modine photo exhibit, featuring behind-the-scenes images taken during the filming of Full Metal Jacket, mostly in England, with one stock shot from Parris Island graduation. Throughout the museum, visitors will encounter actual planes suspended from the ceiling, along with tanks, boats, munitions, and more—creating a visually striking and educational experience.
