Pete's Famous Pizza
Pete's Famous Pizza
If you're visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art or snapping a photo with the Rocky statue, it's just a three-quarter-mile walk to Peter's Famous Pizza. And if you're exploring the Franklin Institute or the Academy of Natural Sciences, you're only two to three blocks away. If you're looking to skip the pricey prepackaged museum food, we highly recommend taking a short stroll to Peter’s for a delicious and affordable meal. They’re known for having some of the best meatballs in Philly, so be sure to try their meatball sandwich, Stromboli, or one of their hearty pasta dishes. If you're dining with kids, the olive oil pan-baked pizza is a hit. And for burger lovers, you can't go wrong—we tried the Balsamic Brie Burger, and it was absolutely amazing. After chatting with some locals, we learned that their steak sandwiches and Strombolis are also fan favorites—we can’t wait to go back and try them ourselves. The staff at Peter’s Pizzeria are incredibly friendly, and we’re thrilled to have found such exceptional food in the Logan section of Philadelphia. And if you're craving Greek cuisine, don’t miss the nearby Moustaki Authentic Gyros, located right next to the Franklin Institute—check out our review for more on that!
