Frenchtown Café
Frenchtown Café
If you're driving north along the Delaware River—on either the New Jersey or Pennsylvania side—consider taking a scenic country detour about 12 miles north of New Hope or Lambertville to the charming town of Frenchtown. This quaint gem is home to the Frenchtown Café, where you'll find some of the best breakfast and lunch options around. For breakfast, their egg and omelet combinations are consistently excellent. But if you're craving pancakes, you've come to the right place—the double chocolate chip and orange marmalade pancakes are standouts, easily earning our Gold Beacon Award. If you're visiting for lunch, their salads and burgers are equally impressive. We especially recommend the Southwest Steak Salad and the Bridge Burger, a juicy, flavorful blend of short ribs and Angus beef—both deserving of top honors. Be sure to say hello to Rosalita and her warm, welcoming staff. It’s well worth the extra 20-minute drive from New Hope or Lambertville to enjoy a delicious meal and friendly atmosphere at the Frenchtown Café.
