May Kelly's

The best traditional Irish food we've ever had while traveling in the Northeast can be found at May Kelly's. If you enjoy Shepherd's Pie, Irish Beef Stew, or Chicken Pot Pie, we wholeheartedly recommend each dish individually—or better yet, try the Irish Sampler, which includes all three and can be ordered as a meal or a shareable appetizer. Every entrée is served with fresh, hot, hearty bread, and we highly recommend pairing your meal with their spicy Bloody Mary. I’m not exaggerating when I say they serve the best homemade coleslaw I’ve ever tasted—it’s the perfect complement to their classic Reuben or the Seafood Reuben, made with fresh beer-battered haddock. If you’re a steak lover, don’t miss Marie’s marinated sirloin tips—they’re outstanding. When chatting with locals, we heard glowing recommendations for nearly every item on the menu, including the Irish puddings and burgers. They insisted there’s nothing on the menu they wouldn’t recommend. We’re already looking forward to returning this summer to the White Mountains and dining again at May Kelly’s—hopefully catching one of their live Irish bands for a night of authentic entertainment.
