MASS MoCA

MASS MoCA

Mass MoCA also extends its creativity outdoors, with installations like a spaceship crash site in the boiler room and a giant swing ride beneath the Route 2 overpass—both thrilling and imaginative experiences. For families, the museum includes a kid-friendly exhibit area showcasing child artists and an interactive art studio. Be sure to check their website for current programs and workshops. The museum also houses a Performing Arts Center, where visitors can enjoy live shows ranging from music and dance to theater and experimental performances. While most exhibits are suitable for all ages, some may contain mature content, so parents are encouraged to consult the friendly and knowledgeable staff for guidance. We visited with our 5- and 8-year-old children, and had no trouble finding plenty to captivate and engage them throughout the museum. Mass MoCA is a place where imagination thrives, and every visit promises something new, bold, and unforgettable.
