Jean's Playhouse

In Lincoln, New Hampshire, we were amazed to discover that an abandoned paper mill had been transformed into a vibrant stage for the performing arts. This ruggedly charming venue enhances the atmosphere and adds character to the performances by both children’s and adult acting troupes. The children’s troupe presents a different play each week—twice in Lincoln—with ticket prices comparable to a typical movie, minus the popcorn. The adult troupe stages three productions throughout the summer, and during peak season, it’s possible to catch all three in a single vacation. It’s absolutely worth the trip; the talent is impressive, and each show seems to surpass the last.
