Jamestown Settlement, operated by the state of Virginia, should not be confused with Historic Jamestowne, which is managed by the National Park Service. To fully experience the Historic Triangle and explore all five key locations, we recommend purchasing the Historic Triangle Pass at the Williamsburg Visitor Center. For those interested in adding seasonal amusement attractions, the Flex Pass is a great option. A free shuttle service runs every half hour to the Jamestown attractions, making transportation easy and convenient. The museum focuses on three cultural groups—the English colonists, Indigenous peoples, and enslaved Africans—offering a well-rounded and respectful look at early American history. Visitors can explore a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits, including a recreation of Jamestown Fort, a Powhatan Indian village, and replicas of the three ships that made the transatlantic journey from England to Jamestown. The site also features educational videos and a large collection of interactive exhibits, making it a rich and engaging experience for families of all ages. For lunch or an early dinner, we highly recommend the on-site café, operated by 2nd Street Bistro—a great place to eat and recharge during your visit.
