2nd Street Bistro

2nd Street Bistro

If we hadn’t stumbled upon the vegetarian chili at the café in Historic Jamestown, we might never have discovered Williamsburg’s top dining gem—2nd Street Bistro. From the moment you walk in, the hostess greets you with Southern hospitality, and that warmth carries through the entire meal thanks to their attentive and friendly staff. Before you even reach the dining area, you’ll be tempted by a wide assortment of decadent desserts on display. Their appetizer lineup is outstanding, so come hungry—I highly recommend the iron skillet cornbread, Ahi Tuna, Chesapeake Crab Dip, and their famous onion rings. If you’re in the mood for fresh fish, don’t miss the catch of the day, always prepared in a creative and flavorful way by their talented chef. Other standout entrées include the baby back ribs and the crab dishes, but what truly stole the show for me was the 2nd Street Shrimp and Grits. Served with cheese grits and shrimp in a spicy sausage sauce, it strikes the perfect balance—just enough kick to elevate the dish without overpowering it. It’s a must-try if you’re anywhere near Williamsburg. And yes, the desserts are plentiful, but don’t worry if you’re too full—you can always take home a slice of cake, pie, or a few cookies for later. Whether you’re dining at the main bistro or one of their two cafés at the Jamestown attractions, 2nd Street Bistro is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy exceptional food and heartfelt hospitality in Williamsburg, VA.
