E. Mannor Nature Center

The Nature Center offers a wide range of environmental displays and programs designed to educate and inspire visitors of all ages. Exhibits include information about trees and their leaves, Native American artifacts, and a collection of mounted animals that provide a close-up look at local wildlife. Live animals indigenous to the area—such as frogs, turtles, snakes, and lizards—are also on display, giving guests a chance to observe creatures they might encounter on a walk through the woods. One especially fascinating feature is the collection of carnivorous plants—real "meat eaters"! The surrounding park includes a camping area, a boat launch for canoes and kayaks, picnic areas, a 1.5-mile exercise trail, a paved 2.2-mile loop road for biking or jogging, and over 20 miles of hiking trails—including a 1.8-mile elevated boardwalk. Additional amenities include softball and soccer fields, sand lots for volleyball, and a floating dock for fishing. There’s even a lending program for bikes and sports equipment.
