Boston Children's Museum
Over the past six years, the Boston Children's Museum has introduced a remarkable array of new exhibits, making it the most impressive children's museum we've reviewed out of more than a dozen across the country. With a wide variety of hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and engaging displays, it's a dream destination for curious kids and their families. The museum’s exhibits revolve around three core themes: hands-on learning, health and fitness, and environmental awareness. There are seven conservation stations throughout the museum that teach young visitors about sustainability in fun and accessible ways. The three-story climbing structure and Kid Power zones are sure to burn off energy, but if your child is still going strong, there are plenty more captivating exhibits to explore. Plan to arrive early, as this is truly a full-day experience. When it’s time to recharge, head to the Au Bon Pain café, which offers terrific soups, smoothies, and a variety of hearty and healthy options. Since parking in Boston can be pricey, we recommend using the Farnsworth Street Parking Garage, where validation is available. And for added convenience, our GPS feature for the Greater Boston Area will soon help you navigate directly to the museum. (Coming soon.)
