Please Touch Museum

Please Touch Museum

The new Please Touch Museum is now located in Fairmount Park, on the west side of the Schuylkill River. Housed in the restored Memorial Hall, originally built for the 1876 Centennial Exhibition celebrating the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the building is one of the last remaining structures of its kind. Inside, you’ll find a restored model of the World’s Fair, and the museum itself retains the charm and grandeur of its 19th-century architecture. From the moment you arrive, you’ll notice the friendly and attentive staff, and the museum’s hands-on exhibits are designed to be educational and engaging for children of all ages. Highlights include a refurbished carousel, the original Captain Noah TV set, and a full-size Statue of Liberty replica—complete with arms and torch made entirely of toys. One of our favorite areas was the “Flight of Fancy,” where kids can engage in aerobic activities that activate interactive exhibits—a perfect blend of movement and learning. Whether you're playing, exploring, or simply celebrating your child’s curiosity, the Please Touch Museum offers a truly awesome experience for families.
