Millville Army Field Museum

The Millville Army Air Field Museum is dedicated to preserving the WWII aviation history of "America's First Defense Airport" , dedicated by the US War Department in 1941 . The U.S. Army Air Corps Base served as a gunnery training site and flight school for P-47 Thunderbolt pursuit/fighter planes. During its four-year existence, ten thousand men and women served at the Millville Army Air Field and 1,500 pilots trained here. In addition to preserving aviation history, the Museum recognizes and commemorates all aspects of American aviation, honors the lives of veterans, and displays and educates with its collections of valuable historic artifacts and documentation. There is no admission cost to see the Museum, but donations are always appreciated . Each year, the Millville Army Air Field Museum hosts the Millville Wheels & Wings Airshow.
