Yes you can just have lunch or drinks at the Castle in the Clouds without touring the mansion (but if you have not seen the mansion, it’s definitely worth it). Just enter through the back driveway (GPS is set for it) and enjoy an amazing lunch on the patio overlooking the spectacular mountainous and lake view or in a converted stable stall for a rustic, yet at the same time refined dining experience. They have great appetizers like the hot bruschetta, which is almost like eating a margarita pizza, or the steak and spinach artichoke dip with warm homemade flatbread which was divine, or the bacon wrapped chicken that was amazing and can also be ordered as a sandwich. Every Thursday night is jazz night with a fabulous dinner menu. There is a cover charge but it's definitely worth it to relax, eat and listen to the band while enjoying the sunset on the castle and the lake the castle. They also have a stable where you can do some trail riding for an extra fee. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at the Castle in the Clouds.
