We had the opportunity of reviewing Jenkins Aquarium, one of the lovliess and quaintest aquariums on the northeast coast. What we loved is that they excel beyond their size by making up in quality, fun and exciting content and informed, friendly staff. They have a touch tank, a shark tank where you can observe their feeding if you come at the right time, some great harbor seals that put on a nice show during feeding time (we loved the part when they got their teeth brushed), a fun penguin exhibit and many smaller tanks throughout the 2 level aquarium. For Scouts and other community organizations they do an outreach program as well. We enjoyed spending a few hours at the aquarium and what's really nice if that once you are admitted, you can leave and return as many times as you like during the day, which is good if you need a break from the sun or the crowds. Another thing you'll love when visiting this area is that a family of four can have a beautiful day at Jenkins Beach for under $40. Very impressive and wonderful. A great vacation spot for the family.
