American Precision Museum

In the middle of Vermont just between I-91 and the Connecticut River border of New Hampshire is the Precision Museum. If you are passing though Vermont on 91 or looking for a neat little place to go in the Dartmouth area then stop over at the Precision Museum. It's great for kids because they have a lot of hands-on activities. One that really got their creative juices flowing was building a bottle compression engine. They also have demonstrations of working machinery led by their friendly staff or interns. The museum sits on the first floor of a four story manufacturing shop and we would love to see them expand. I have to admit my wife was skeptical about the visit, but once she got there she, and the kids were captivated for a couple hours! There’s lots of running machinery and miniature working exhibits to make it definitely worth the trip. So if you’re interested in learning how things were built to last with craftsmanship, purpose and to build a foundation for how things operate today, then visit the Precision Museum.
