Did you know the word Crayola comes from chalk and oil. This is only one of the many fascinating facts and history you will learn about crayon making at The Crayola Experience in Easton Pennsylvania. But is also about the fun! Four floors of it to be exact. The first floor hosts the gift shop, cafe and some fun with silly putty that the little guys really like. The second floor is where it gets really interesting. You can see a demonstration of actual machines making a batch of crayons and and see how they are wrapped and packaged. Then, you can make your own crayon label, put it on a crayon, and take home to create your own colorful masterpiece. On this same level you can do some traditional coloring with crayons or markers or go digital and make up our character using tablet technology and then post it on a huge wall where it will come alive for all to see or email to a friend. The third floor has a lot of coloring and hands-on activities as well but the fourth floor is where you get to use melted crayons to create spin art and other fun projects art projects. The best exhibit is the color magic. This where you color your character with crayons on a page, then scan in into the computer.
