The US is bursting at the seams with Pizzerias, many of which are big corporations or franchises who all claim that they have the best pizza. This is not true! I am telling you that Sally's in New Haven is the best pizza we've ever had. Do not judge a book by its cover. The place has not been remodeled for decades, but this adds to it's quaint family charm. All they do is pizza and they do it right. Their pies are made to order and are worth the wait, because as you wait you will enjoy spending that time with your family or chatting with theirs. We had a red and a white pie. The garden veggie was awesome, with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. Their red sauce was unparalleled and their coal oven is what sets them apart! Congratulations Richard and Bobby! You have taken your father's legacy, recipes and tradition and kept it alive and family friendly.
