In the southern part of Connecticut not far from Mystic and New York City is the Beardsley Park Zoo. The zoo is laid out very nicely with walking paths that lead you to all the animals. The exhibits are open and allow you to get varied views of them in their habitats. They have a lot of different varieties of species from Tigers to their new Red Panda. And a must-see for us were the wolves and the ant eaters. They also have birds, reptiles and so much more. It's a great smaller scale zoo and the folks there are amazing and friendly.
