The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk

The Marine Aquarium at Norwalk is a great place to take the family. It's mostly based on marine life that live in the Long Island Sound. When you first come in you can view the five interactive 60 inch screens on a huge wall sized map and learn some interesting facts about the sound. It's also very fun to see the seals being fed. A great time for the youngsters is the Go Fish hands on exhibit and right around the corner you will find the Meerkats where kids can pop up in a bubble inside the habitat. They also feature a shark and ray touch pool and a Marine Lab that actually makes and hatches jellyfish. There's another section for river otters, seals, reptiles, Terrapins, sharks, jellyfish and so much more. Then when you go upstairs you'll see all kinds of frogs and a model boat exhibit as well as a toddler ocean play space. During your visit, don't forget to see an Imax show or take a cruise around the Long Island Sound to complete your fun filled adventure at the Marine Aquarium in Norwalk.
