Market Bakery at Reading Terminal

The best place to find a smorgasbord of amazing and great food is the Reading Terminal. In average traffic it's only 10 minutes from the train station, Art Museum and Independence Hall and only 5 minutes from the Franklin Institute or the Ben Franklin Bridge. And it’s home to the famous Bassett family known for what I would consider the best ice cream in the world. And Jennifer's staff are extremely friendly. It is worth the small amount of money to cross the bridge and to park (they validate) just for that ice cream. What you might not know if that the Bassett’s also have two other locations in the terminal. Why not have lunch with your dessert? The second location is the Original Turkey. Every night they rotisserie turkey breast until they are tender, juicy and moist. When ordering, it’s all about the turkey. They can put it into any type of sandwich or wrap or as the main course to a complete meal with trimmings like cornbread, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, string beans and more. At least twice a month I find myself grabbing a turkey sandwich. Also, Eric Bassett and his staff are amazing as well. Their third place is the Market Bakery, with a friendly staff, where they get fresh bread from local bakeries. You can buy the bread, or they make some unique sandwiches too. I’m still trying their sandwiches out, but so far so very good. (Map Button is the Parking Garage which is directly across the street)
