Fred & Ethel's Tavern
Smithville is a great place for shopping, fun and of course food. Fred and Ethel's Lantern Light Tavern is no exception to the rule when it comes to great food, drink and atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of this historic town, Fred and Ethel's is a great place to bring the family for a terrific meal or to stop in and relax at the bar and listen to a live band as a perfect way to wind down your event-filled day of shopping and sightseeing. All food at Fred and Ethel's is cooked to order. Start out with a bowl of their famous rich and smooth South Jersey Tomato Bisque or a crock of their tantalizing French Onion Soup. Any of their many sandwich choices is sure to please. We can vouch personally for the California Veggie Melt and Shrimp Po-Boy; both were delicious and full of flavor. Their entrees are reasonably priced and plentiful with the hungry family in mind. Finish up with one of their freshly prepared desserts and you'll need a wheelbarrow to help move you on your way.
