Many influential people in technology and art have come from the Berkshires. Norman Rockwell is America's most renouned and loved illustrator who lived most of his life in Stockbridge, right here in the center of the Berkshires. You must have seen his oever 200 lighthearted covers of the Saturday Evening Post. He was also a man who supported equal rights for all men and women of any race. The museum includes history of his life, his illistrations and his recognizable paintings. For example, the movie ?Mississippi Burning? a very good movie and also an amazing picture done by Norman Rockwell and his famous four pictures of Roosevelt's War Bond Drive have their own hall in the center of the museum. Additionally, his studio was relocated from his home to the museum grounds as a great way to preserve the history and to capture and understand the tremendous talent of Norman Rockwell.
