Southwick's Zoo
Southwicks Zoo is the best interactive zoo we have seen so far. They have many places where you can get interactive and personal with the animals. They have a deer and a bird sanctuary where you can feed the deer and the canaries. The deer will come right up to you and eat from your hand and the birds will land right on your seeded stick to feed. They also have a petting zoo with goats of all ages where the babies will come and sit on your lap if you still enough. They also have a Discovery Center with reptiles and educational artifacts with amazing, kid friendly staff to teach about the animals and nature. The zoo offers combo ticket packs that's worth it for the train and sky ride, which is an amazing way to see the zoo from above. They also have small miniature rides for kids as well as amazing shows like the dog and pony show and the trained pig show. When in central Massachusetts, be sure to plan a day at the Southwicks Zoo.
