Springer's Homemade Ice Cream
In our travels, my husband is always on the lookout for the best ice cream. As far as the northeast United States goes, we have found four top contenders – one of which is in New Jersey. Having visited those two famous sweet guys in Vermont, we have to say that Springer’s in Stone Harbor has the best ice cream in the North East in product and service. Don’t be deterred by the long line in the summer, as their polite and friendly staff keeps things moving quickly. But trust me when I tell you it’s worth the wait. They have a great selection of flavors. For all you chocolate or coffee enthusiasts, you will love their unique combinations. My kids enjoy the Blue One; a blue dyed vanilla based ice cream with cookie dough and Oreo chunks mixed in. They also have table service available, which is great for relaxing and mingling with friends. Finally, for any special occasion they have ice cream cakes. Do I need to say more, since they are made from the same out of this world ice cream as all their treats?
