AMC Highland Center
If you are hiking the trails around Crawford Notch or just driving through on route 302, then stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner at the AMC Highland Center. Lunch is cafeteria style but you're not getting the food like you were in school. The Highland Center has a gourmet chef on staff and they make the best sandwiches and wraps served on fresh homemade bread. Salads, vegetarian platters and PB&J are also available, but you must try their homemade daily soups and chili which are the best in the valley. Dinner is served family style at 6:00pm sharp. A four course dinner is waiting for you starting with their amazing daily soups. Salad and homemade bread is the next course. The main course has 2 different entrees, vegetarian and meat. Both come with a starch such as potato, rice or couscous as well as a fresh vegetable medley all prepared by their gourmet chef. After eating a delicious meal and talking with new friends or family, then Matt Houghton (the gourmet chef) will complete your meal with one of his famous desserts. Finally, to bring your peaceful evening to an end be sure to meet up with the Highland Staff and learn about the natural experience that the White Mountains has to offer.
