Victor, one of the Elite Chef's of the 2000 and 2002 Olympic games, has kept the Sal's Tradition of Italian food in Williamsburg alive for the last 16 years. For me, the first indication of a good pizzeria is if they use Grande brand cheese - and of course he does. The quality ingredients are what make his pies, stuffed pasta and parmesan dishes so amazing, which is why I highly recommend either the Chef Sampler or Victor's Sampler. My husband loves a good Marsela dish and their veal or chicken marsela is definitely a winner. Or, if you are a seafood lover, then you must try their delicious Seafood Thermadore. Make room for dessert because they have the Cheese Cake Factory cheese cake as well as a nice selection of imported Bindi desserts like the Chocolate Truffle or the Bomba. But just like the line from the Godfather,”leave the guns, take the cannoli” we would recommend you take the cannoli because they are that good. Sal's by Victor are now back at their original location a ¼ mile east of the 60 Bypass on 162 . Neither rain, nor snow, nor fire will stop Victor from bringing amazing NY Style Italian Cuisine to Williamsburg.
