Colonial Williamsburg is amazing. I asked a gentleman if he was the President and he said no. I ask him what his name was and he replied “Washington”. Of course the era of Colonial Williamsburg is just before the ratification of the constitution so of course this Washington was right; he was not currently the president. The staff of actors in the village, or what they refer to themselves as the colonists, is very engaging. Our kids had a chance to play two old time games with them on the Palace Green. The schedule changes each day, so go online or to grab the weekly map and schedule for the daily activities and plan your day in advance. Also, try to get in early to the different places because they tend to fill up. You can get into the village for free to walk around but to see the exhibits they will ask for a pass. We recommend that you get one of three Historic Triangle Passes that includes four other attractions, the Bounce Pass which includes two others, or the Flex Pass to see all 7 of the major attractions. There is free parking at their Visitor Center where you can get those passes or a general admission ticket. They also offer free shuttle service to seven locations in the village of Williamsburg. Also, it's worth the $10 for a souvenir cup that includes all the free refills of soda and cider you want for the entire year. Enjoy the time at Colonial Williamsburg because there's much to learn about our American History
