When you come into Adams County through Abbotstown, you can have a real authentic German meal at the Hofbrauhaus. Come in for lunch or dinner. They have an amazing German Beer Selection at their Beer garden. Can't make a decision between the wurst or Schnitzel, then have the best of both. Order the bratwurst, knockwurst or bauernwurst as an appetizer. Then have your choice of seven Schnitzels for your entree. We recommend the Zigenerscnitzel, pork that is served with onions, peppers, mushrooms. Their entrees come with homemade soup and a crisp salad. I enjoyed the Potato Leak soup and salad with the garlic house dressing. Before your food arrives, they offer you their homemade cheese and mustard dip that has a nice kick to it. They also have great traditional side dishes like sauerkraut, red cabbage, hot or cold potato salad and spaetzel. Last, save room for their amazing hot apple strudel and make sure you get ice cream on the side. Chris and Butch's staff are wonderful people and they will have you yodeling for more
