Finns Point Range Light House
Finns Point Range Light House

Located off the Delaware River in Salem County, NJ this light was established in 1877. It is a 115-foot tall skeletal tower constructed of solid black wrought iron. It contained a Fresnel lens that has been removed. The Front Range at Finn's Point was demolished in the 1930's but restored in 1983. The light was automated in 1934 and deactivated sixteen years later. The keeper's quarters were located separately and have since been destroyed. The light is owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and is part of the Supawna Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The light is not operational but is open to the public.
