Amish View Inn & Suites
Whether you’re a brand new married couple or maybe the family just wants to get away for a Lancaster-Hersey Vacation, then the Amish View Inn & Suites is the best in the area for excellent accommodations, friendly staff and reasonable rates. Located in the middle of Lancaster County they are within 30 minutes from most of the popular points of interest in Lancaster. You will have a wonderful night sleep on their very comfortable beds and they offer Free Hard Wire and Wireless internet throughout the hotel. The inn’s décor is marble and hardwood with all rooms equipped with a kitchenette and the one and two bedroom suites with a kitchen. Jokingly, I asked why they put a kitchen into their rooms since they have three of their own great food services - Millers' Smorgasbords, the Plain & Fancy family style restaurant (but you will have to read their amazing reviews to learn more) and the number one complimentary breakfast we have found, which includes waffles and made to order omelets prepared everyday for you. Since we bring our kids with on every vacation, we look for things that make them very happy, and typically top on the list is an indoor pool. This hotel’s indoor pool is exceptionally nice as is the whirlpool which my husband enjoys very much. On the bottom floor they have a workout room, laundry room and a small arcade. They do movie night on a large screen plasma TV or you can rent a DVD from their large selection and view it using the player that comes standard in your room. They also have a great selection of board games as well. If you would like to enjoy the Amish life while on their property, there are buggy rides from Aaron and Jessica, a theater running shows about this simple life, and a tour of a house and actual working farm of the Amish (again, check out these other reviews). With so many friendly and family oriented things to do in Lancaster County, it’s only natural to complete your experience with a pleasant stay at the Amish View Inn and Suites.
