Decoy Museum

The Havre de Grace Decoy Museum houses one of the finest collections of working and decorative Chesapeake Bay decoys ever assembled. Through tours, lectures, demonstrations, special events, and a series of exhibits, the Decoy Museum strives to communicate the heritage of Upper Bay decoy making to a national audience. With displays of 1200 decoys and decorative carvings, the Decoy Museum provides the perfect opportunity to appreciate this unique American folk art form in a stunning setting. The museum's four permanent displays provide visitors with an understanding of the marvelous variety of carving and hunting styles and techniques. Their temporary exhibits grant visitors an opportunity to focus on a particular carvers' work or study finer aspects of the folk art. Each year, the Decoy Museum hosts an exciting series of events that draw tens of thousands of collectors from across the nation. We invite you to visit the Decoy Museum to discover the art of decoy making and the water fowling traditions that truly make Havre de Grace the “Decoy Capital of the World!”
