Monmouth Battlefield

The Friends of Monmouth Battlefield, Inc. and the State Park co-sponsor the annual Battle of Monmouth Reenactment the fourth weekend of each year. The event has volunteers in period dress with muskets and cannons. They camp in the two separate camps, British and Continental, near the Visitors Center which are open to the public along with sellers of 18th century goods and materials associated with the American Revolution. The Friends of Monmouth Battlefield, founded in 1990, is a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Monmouth Battlefield, the State Park and the National Landmark. In addition to the annual reenactment, the Friends sponsor a number of events for the public including hikes and other programs in the Park. They operate a gift shop in the Park from March through October.
