Wetlands Institute
Wetlands Institute

There's a lot of different things to do at the Wetlands Institute in Stone Harbor New Jersey. The basic thing is to learn about birds, turtles and other sea life in their auditorium setting, but then they also take you out on a nice beach where you can actually see where the turtles bury their eggs and where a lot of different Marsh animals call their home. You can also choose to get in the water and actually get up close to several varieties of fish and marsh creatures as you collect them in your net then learn about their life. We were impressed with how wonderful their mazing staff and interns were with the children. They also offer guided kayak tours out of Stone Harbor or Ocean City during the seasonal vacation time and for an addional fee.
